Mini TITANIUM Thermostat Housing Studs

Classic Mini TITANIUM Thermostat Housing Studs with titanium nuts and stainless washers.

One side of the stud is 5/16 UNC (coarse) thread, which screws into the cylinder head and on the other end of the stud is 5/16 UNF (fine) thread, which takes a 5/16 UNF nut.

A standard stud weighs 16g, a titanium stud weighs 9g, giving you a saving of 21g across three studs.

N.B. To get the old studs out I use two old nuts. Screw them both onto the thread, then using two spanners tighten the nuts against each other. Using a spanner on the bottom nut, unscrew the stud. Use the same technique to put the new stud in the hole.

This stud also fits the MGA MGB/C and Sprite Midget thermostat housing.
